Doors v4.7

Doors v4.73 implements the following changes:

  1. For PXL controllers configured for two-door operation, auto-configuration now properly detects if the second door is configured for gate operation or elevator control.
  2. A new feature has been added to provide improved, more convenient operability in mixed PXL/Entraguard networks. When enabled and when operating in modem mode, this feature will automatically disconnect the modem from the PC following any communication command made by Doors to the master controller, freeing the telephone line for immediate use by the Entraguard system. In previous operation, certain Doors commands required the operator to manually disconnect the modem and certain Entraguard commands would have the modem waiting for a timeout to expire before freeing the telephone line. This feature is enabled via a new check box in the System Setup > System Options > Network Master Parameters menu field in Doors.
  3. The Cardholder Export/Import program has been modified to include export fields for the following credential values:
  • enrollment date/time
  • void date/time
  • activate date/time
  • expiration date/time

NOTE: The Export/Import program will not import values for the above listed fields.

PXL-500 Firmware v8.5.19

This firmware release corrects four issues.

  1. Corrected PXL-500 interoperability with an SB-G satellite board. SB-G behavior is limited to second door control.
  2. Corrected PXL-500-LC interoperability with an SB-G satellite board and an SB-593 satellite board. SB-G behavior is limited to second door control. SB-593 behavior is jumper-selectable between second door control or general I/O.
  3. Corrected PXL-510-LC interoperability with an SB-G satellite board. SB-G behavior is limited to second door control.
  4. Corrected PXL-500-G interoperability with an SB-593. SB-593 behavior is jumper-selectable between second door control or general I/O.

Connector Tolerance

Keri has switched to a new connector vendor for our PXL and EntraGuard controllers. The new connector has a better interlocking mechanism between connector plug and socket, providing a more secure connection.

Keri extensively tested the interconnectivity of the two vendors and found no issues. However if both connectors are at the far end of their tolerances it appears that the mechanical connection between the two vendors can be affected. Because of this, Keri strongly recommends you do not mix the two connector types in an installation.

All PXL and EntraGuard controllers are shipped with an installation kit that has all the correct connectors necessary for that controller. If you are replacing an existing controller with a new controller in an installation, please replace the connectors on the existing wiring with the connectors provided with the new controller. This will eliminate the tolerance issue between connector manufacturers and ensure good seating between connector plug and socket.

The Connector Tolerance document provides information on how to distinguish old manufacturer from new manufacturer connectors.
