The Borealis hub is intended to be dedicated to the access control system. The loading of software other than Virus Protection software will void your warranty.
Regarding Operating System updates:
- Keri is not updating Borealis hubs to Windows 11. Borealis hubs use Windows IoT 10 which is a different operating system and is on a different upgrade/support cycle from standard Windows operating systems.
- Keri will upgrade the Borealis hub operating system for new units when Windows 10 IoT approaches end of life, and Keri will provide instructions for updating any existing hubs when that becomes necessary.
- Upgrading the hub’s operating system voids the hub’s warranty and may cause the system to become unstable due to internal differences between standard Windows 10/11 and IoT Windows 10.
